cranberry clementine sauce

This recipe is so easy, you will never buy store bought cans again! This sauce will make your kitchen smell like the Holidays! The addition of the Grand Marnier is sinfully delish, But can be omitted if need be for the little people.


I Bag of fresh cranberries -about 2 cups (You can sub frozen)
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup clementine juice (or mandarin or orange)
zest of one clementine
half cup brown sugar (less or more, depending on how sweet you are)
three quarters cup of water
quarter cup of Grand Marnier or Triple Sec


In small saucepan, over medium heat, stir water,juice and sugar until sugar is melted ….add cranberries and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes until sauce has thickened. Stir in Grand Marnier. Let cool and serve at room temperature.
