Fast, easy and definetly tasty, fresh grated parmesan top this dish off perfectly.


200g fettuccine
1 tblsp unsalted butter
4 strips smoked bacon, chopped
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/2 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for garnish
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


1. Clean and slice mushrooms, slice bacon strips about 1/2 inch pcs. Put a large pot of water on to boil while your prepping. Cook pasta to package instructions.

2. Meanwhile, melt butter and cook mushrooms till lightly browning. Put in side bowl. Cook bacon and drain fat. Add mushrooms back to pan with bacon.

3. Add cream, pepper, 2/3 of parmesan cook for a cple more minutes. Mix in with pasta. Serve and top with remaining parmesan.

Serve with garlic toasts or salad.
