A few of these and you will be singin’ Ole…
Lime wedge, plus 2 lime wheels for garnish.
1 tablespoon coarse salt, for glass rims.
2 ounces Cointreau.
4 ounces good quality blanco tequila
1 1/2 ounces fresh juice from 2 limes.
1. Pour some salt on a saucer, enough to roll your glass rim around. Run lime wedge around the outer rims of two margarita glasses and dip rims in salt. Set aside.
2. In cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice. Fill with ice and shake until chilled.
3. Fill glasses with crushed ice and strain margarita into both glasses. Slice a lime in half, slice between 1/8 and 1/4 in., slice from center to outside, so you can slip it out the rim of a glass. Garnish with lime wheels and serve.
