Enjoy this for brunch, dinner with a nice salad or a party appetizer.
Red Pepper Sauce
- 2 roasted red peppers
- 1/2 cup mayo
- Sriracha sauce to taste
- 12 oz crabmeat
- 1 egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 finely chopped green onions
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 3 tblsp mayo
- 2 tblsp olive oil
1Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Slice red peppers in half and clean. Place cut side down on baking sheet. Bake for about 25 mins. Let cool and then pull skin off.
2In a blender or processor put the peppers and mayo and blend till fine.
Pour in bowl, and add sriracha sauce to taste.
3In a bowl mix crab, egg, onions, lemon and mayo. Mix well and form into cakes. Put bread crumbs on a plate and put cakes on and coat in crumbs.
4Heat pan on about medium coated with olive oil. Cook crab cakes for about 5 mins each side until golden brown. Serve with the sauce.
